AK 440 VE – Precision Shredding with Maximum Efficiency

At the heart of the AK 440 VE’s success is the combination of freely oscillating flails and a precision shredding basket, ensuring high-performance fine shredding. The machine features a well-engineered drive system: the main electric drive motor transfers power to the flail drum via a V-belt drive, while the scraper floor and infeed roller are powered by their own dedicated electric motors. This intelligent configuration guarantees consistent peak performance.

Hydraulics are used exclusively for opening and closing the fine-shredding basket, minimizing complexity and energy usage. The use of interchangeable shredding baskets allows to produce precisely defined grain sizes, and both baskets and flails can be quickly and easily replaced—the flails thanks to a patented fastening system.

Designed for durability, the flail tips automatically deflect larger obstructions, significantly reducing wear and tear during operation. This makes the AK 440 VE not only efficient but also exceptionally cost-effective over time.

The AK 440 VE is also highly versatile. It is compatible with all shredding tools used in mobile AK machines, making it ideal for a wide range of applications—including fine-shredding of bio-waste and green waste for composting, various grades of wood for waste wood and biomass processing, and diverse recycling tasks.
