The freely oscillating flails, in combination with the shredding basket, are the key to the AK 440 VE's success. Additionally, the shredder features a well-engineered drive system: the main electric drive motor transmits power to the flail drum via a V-belt drive, while the scraper floor and infeed roller are powered by their own dedicated electric motors. This ensures that the AK 440 VE always operates at peak performance.

Hydraulics are used solely to open and close the fine-shredding basket. The use of different shredding baskets in the AK 440 VE allows to produce precisely defined grain sizes, and the baskets can be easily and quickly interchanged—just like the flails, which feature a patented fastening system. Thanks to the flail tips automatically avoiding larger obstructions during the shredding process, the AK 440 VE impresses with significantly reduced wear and tear.

The AK 440 VE is compatible with every shredding tool of the mobile AK machines, making it highly versatile.
